I have a friend who works “under the table”. Meaning he is paid cash and doesn’t pay taxes on his earnings. To compound his little crime, he is also claiming unemployment. If he is ever caught he will be in debt for years. I’m not sure if this is a crime. He may have some serious legal actions to face too! It would be much easier to just keep track of what you make, and claim your earnings. To face the I.R.S. is never a good thing.
